Real-time analysis with in-memory technology
Optimized for use in connection with SAP High-Performance Analytic Appliance (SAP HANA), SAP BusinessObjects 4.0 will enable users to leverage in-memory technology in analyzing even the largest data volumes in real time.

BI functions for mobile devices
Thanks to the BI functions coming to their mobile devices, users will be able to respond more quickly to business events. Interactive view models will also make using these functions even easier. Meanwhile, SAP's acquisition of Sybase has brought a number of benefits to the SAP BusinessObjects 4.0 software: Sybase Unwired Platform, for instance, serves as the basis for a mobile BI suite capable of processing data from both SAP and non-SAP business applications.

Text-analysis functions for data from social networks
These integrated functions enable companies to augment conventional insights into their business processes with feedback expressed in blogs, e-mails, and other social media. You can thus go beyond hard transaction data and collect "soft" information on opinions and trends, as well. In addition, a multidimensional semantic level that incorporates access to multiple data sources and a uniform document-creation function will provide you with a comprehensive view of your business.
