The BO PC planning tool is breaking new ground. First of all, Microsoft Excel was chosen as the front end for data entry and administration, along with an architecture that penetrates the centralized Data Warehouse approach of SAP BW/BI. BO PC also directly provides departments with their own room to maneuver in structuring and maintaining planning content and their company's corresponding workflow. In addition, the planned integration of SAP® NetWeaver BI (BW) will combine a centrally maintained data warehouse with the possibility of decentrally managed planning applications.
