The acquisition of Business Objects™ (BO) by SAP® has opened the door to new possibilities in the business intelligence market. As a specialist in BI, cundus can introduce you to the expanded SAP BusinessObjects portfolio in a one-day workshop.
Thanks to our years of experience as an SAP Service Partner and an SAP BO Bronze Partner, we are familiar with both the "old" and "new" worlds of SAP. Dashboards & visualization
Xcelsius is SAP's new flagship software for generating interactive dashboards and publishing cutting-edge rich Internet applications (RIA). In addition to where it fits into SAP's greater product portfolio, we can show you the potential of this new tool based on the results of a past customer project – including a live demo. In our workshop, we investigate in detail the extent to which the replacement of the web application designer and the integration into SAP has succeeded.
Enterprise Reporting
In Crystal Reports 2008, SAP's product portfolio now features an integral standard for highly formatted reporting that is precise down to the last pixel. This has opened up an array of all-new approaches to report creation in SAP BW. Let us introduce you to the new functions in version 2008 on the basis of straightforward BW examples.
Enhanced analysis
BEx Analyzer, SAP's previous standard tool for generating complex OLAP queries, has been supplemented with the web tool BO Voyager in order to appeal to a broader base of users. In our SAP BusinessObjects workshop, you can learn about how this new product works and the scenarios in which it can provide you with effective added value. We will also tell you about the corresponding SAP road map and how it foresees BEx Analyzer's fusion into a new premium product (codename: "Pioneer"), along with an overview of the new features.
Ad hoc queries & reporting
All SAP customers can now begin using the premium version of Web Intelligence, the proven standard tool in the BO product family. In addition to simple, web-based report creation, we can give you the details on possible offline means of distributing reports to all of your company's employees. The data for the examples used in the workshop comes straight from an iteration of SAP BW linked to a BusinessObjects universe, which enables us to give you the full picture of the new solutions and the infrastructure they require.
Codename: "Pioneer"
"Pioneer" is to become SAP's best-in-class OLAP analysis tool by combining the Microsoft Excel integration of the well-known SAP BEx Analyzer with the excellent web capabilities of BO Voyager. According to the information released thus far, the tool will feature a fast, highly interactive, user-friendly interface that facilitates optimal navigation through large volumes of data. Along with how the tool fits into SAP's new product portfolio, our workshop will reveal some initial details of the tool's upcoming user interface and how it dovetails with Microsoft Office. This opens an all-new realm of reporting possibilities and, in particular, new means of interoperability with other SAP front-end products.
BI 2.0
Learn how to use new BI applications on mobile devices, how to incorporate a wide array of reports into the current Microsoft Office environment, and how to leverage widget technology to create mini desktop applications for BI by means of drag-and-drop – no complex programming required. We will also explain the information self-services possible with Polestar, which makes finding key company figures as easy as running a search on Google.
